Bob, Carol, and myself are excited to see everyone this weekend!


We wanted to reach out and give you some reminders and updates. Some of these items were previously communicated and others maybe not.


We are testing bats tomorrow night from 7:00 to 8:30 at the Complex. Teams should bring whatever bats they have at one time. You MAY test in two groups, one tomorrow night and one on Saturday morning. Bats should have the 240 stamp and be compliant. You can test up to 25 bats and/or pass 20 bats, maximum per team.


The manager meeting, which is open to anyone, is tomorrow night at 7:30 PM at the Complex.


The gates will open at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning. We will be ready to test bats for teams who did not come in advance. If you are playing at 9am we really want you to test whatever you can tomorrow night.


There is a gate fee, per car, on Saturday only of $10. It does not matter if you have one person in the vehicle or a whole van. This will cover both days. The driver will also be able to put their name in a raffle with several prizes to be drawn randomly in the afternoon.


Balls are supplied for the entire event. Teams will be required to retrieve HR and foul balls.


Be reminded that we are playing GSL Book Rules throughout the event.


E teams going 0-2 will be invited to play in a Single elimination flight on Sunday morning. There is no cost at all. However, teams going 0-2 must confirm that they wish to be entered into the consolation flight. We can not assume teams to be in.


You MUST have matching or extremely similar uniform jerseys. They MUST have unique digits on the jerseys. Players can wear either pants or shorts and the bottoms do not need to match.


We will send an email tomorrow to all players with some of this information so that there is no confusion at all.

It should be a very exciting weekend and we look forward to a lot of great games.


Most of the information below has already been communicated to the managers. However, we do realize in some cases the manager isn't reading the emails or sharing the information correctly.

Bat testing: we will be at the complex tonight from 7pm to 830pm testing bats. Teams need to bring bats up as a team. We are not testing individual bats. Teams are permitted to do a team test on Friday for what they have, and finish Saturday morning. Bats should be the 240 thumbprint as you know.


Please have your ID on you at all times during event in case of any protest or issue.


Uniforms: Teams are required to have matching or extremely similar jerseys. Each player must have a unique uniform number on the shirt. Players in all divisions can wear either pants or shorts and the bottoms do not have to match.

Please be aware that National passed a Rule change at the convention, there is no more "automatic home team" in GSL concerning uniforms.


Uniform issues are not grounds for protest, but players must have correct jerseys to be able to play. (Must conform.)


Teams need to be at the field 30 minutes prior to scheduled games. Please follow the online bracket. If there are any changes we will notify and send emails.


The complex opens Saturday at 7:30 am. Please do not arrive before that time, as you won't be able to come in.


There is a gate fee per car on Saturday which is $10. CASH only. It does not matter if you have one person or a packed van, it's for each vehicle.

Each driver will be entered into a drawing and there will be some free items raffled off in the afternoon for a few lucky winners.

Welcome to our GSL World Tournament East being held this coming weekend in Salisbury, Maryland!


Bob, Carol, and myself are excited to welcome this event back to this top notch facility again this year.

Here are some items for teams:


Check-in: We will be doing check-in and bat testing on Friday night at the Complex at 7:00 PM lasting until 8:30 PM. It is highly recommended that teams take advantage of this to avoid a long line on Saturday morning. Teams should bring the bats as a team to check-in. Teams can do a portion of their bats on Friday and the rest on Saturday. You can test a maximum of 25 bats and/or pass a maximum of 20 total bats.


Managers Meeting: We will have a managers meeting also on Friday night at the Complex at 7:30 PM. It is not mandatory, but we are asking each team to send a representative.


Bats: all bats should be the USSSA new stamp (240) for this weekend and should be compliant for tournament play.


Roster: all players need to be on your team's online roster. There will be no exceptions, guest players, or any such reason for players not to be online. Players should also be in the "eligible" column with completed waivers to play. **Any players who played in the GSL D Worlds may not be moved to an E team for this weekend's tournament.**


Rules: we will be following all book rules of GSL play for this tournament. All classes will have a Designated Home Run hitter. Courtesy runners are anyone on the online roster. All players are permitted double entry, please note that starting the game is your first entry.


Uniforms: teams must have matching or extremely similar tops for this weekend. Please note: the National Slow-Pitch Committee has removed the rule that was in place last year where teams would be designated as Home team if the opponent did not completely match. The rule will be the same as our USSSA World Tournaments in Viera. You must be matching or extremely similar to play. Uniforms are not "protestable" but if asked, players must conform to the correct uniform or they may not play.


Protests: any in-game protest requires $100 cash in the hand of the umpire to lodge said protest. If the protest is successful, the money will be returned. You must protest before the next pitch is thrown. We can not be called to the field to discuss something that happened the inning before or a few batters before.


Bracket: we are leaving the tournament open tomorrow into Tuesday and hope to post the start times Tuesday evening.  We do expect a few more teams.  

The GSL World Tournament portion of the event is straight double elimination in all brackets. We are looking to do a single elimination drop-down flight in the Men's E to give all E teams a 3-game guarantee. There will be no extra cost for the drop down flight. Teams going 0-2 will be required to inform one of the directors whether they are participating or if they are not.


Entry fee: $475 is the tournament entry fee. Teams need to pay online through their team manager account prior to Tuesday evening unless they have a Paid Berth through a Director. This covers all umpire fees and also includes the balls for the entire event. Balls are included, but teams must retrieve foul and HR Balls or purchase more. There will also be a $10 gate fee for each car on Saturday at the Complex. The $10 also enters you into several drawings for prizes that will be pulled later on in the day.
